Book of the Month: The Axis of Weasals

Library/Articles Remember this link; http://www.macmenaminpress.com/

I chanced on this book and immediately ordered it. I mean really! In this time when the loony-left gets set to cut and run and raise taxes while performing some of the best kabuki theater we've ever seen, we keepers of the faith need something to remind us of who we are.

The first paragraph from the site reads: "Top conservatives like Rush Limbaugh, Bill Kristol, James Taranto and Michelle Malkin recommend Scott Ott's collection of political satire, "Axis of Weasels." So do editors from both National Review Online and The Weekly Standard.

Perhaps more importantly, Scott Ott's writing will entertain more than 300,000 readers this month alone at his daily news satire site ScrappleFace.com"

The Art of War by Sun Tzu

Library/Articles The Art of War is a military classic that acknowledges the timeless nature of human conflict and the response of the State to strife and warfare. This book has seen many translations and applications, not only in the practice of traditional war fighting but even in aspects of day-to-day life.

I think that one of the most interesting aspects of the book is the recognition that conflict is an unavoidable aspect of life and to use aspects of intelligence, force deployment and understanding of where and how to apply resources before, during and after a conflict.

One of my favorite chapters is the first in the book. It speaks wisely and forcefully about the role of the enemy and of high principles of morality and assessing your strengths and weaknesses as well as those of your enemy.
