We are big fans of the Legend of Isis comic series here at Aye Laddy... It's not always about Star Trek here, although a crossover would be rated high on our wish lists for such a thing ;>)

2008 news: I found evidence of a 2009 release for this film! Sketchy on details, but it was encouraging to see some movement on the film after years of inactivity!

For those of you who don't know anything about the Legend of Isis franchise and story, we offer our gallery of selected images from this popular series and a collection of links with current news and information.

We've kept an eye out for more news on a movie based on the comic book with Kelsey Grammer's production company working on a deal with Paramount studios and pre-production work having been in the works since 2003/2004 on this movie... I'm personally hoping more information becomes available on this exciting development and will reflect any information we hear about LOI on these pages.

Story Line

Once a powerful warrior in Ancient Egypt, the woman known as Isis fought in honorable battle with her sister, Nephtys, for the hand of Osiris. The victor of the battle would be wed to Osiris and welcomed into the Egyptian Pantheon as its Queen Goddess. Isis so loved Osiris, and he loved her. A victory would cement her place by his side. Isis defeated her sister in battle, but Nephtys was so angry that she and her brother Set, the advisor to the throne, devised an evil spell that cast Isis 5,000 years into the future and erased her from everyone's thoughts and minds. It was as if she never existed.

Isis arrived in modern day Los Angeles, California and quickly drew the attention of the local police, especially one Scott Dean, with whom she would become close friends. Together, Isis and Scott, with the help of Crystal Van Howe (Scott's jealous girlfriend), created a new identity for Isis to live in this modern world, and named her Jessica Eisen.

Isis realized that she has been erased from history, and Nephtys now sits next to Osiris in Egyptian Mythology, where we in reality know Isis should sit.

She finds the Staff of Luxor at a local museum, and says that it was pulling her to it. It turns out that when Isis is near this staff, she is empowered with great abilities by the spirit of Osiris who now channels his power through the staff and into her hands.

But once she touched the Staff, she also awoke the spirit of her evil brother, Set, who is now an evil demi-god. Set has come back to finish the job he began 5,000 years ago, and destroy Isis so that he may complete his agreement with the Goddess Nephtys and be granted the full power of the God of Chaos and rule the world ... and only Isis can stop him.
